I finally this morning cracked that magical barrier of 74 kg. (Shut up, I'm very tall and I have big bones.) I'd been stuck at that weight for many months now. So when I saw the elusive weight of 73.5 kg appear on the scales (babysteps, babysteps), I tried to figure out what I'd changed in my diet in the last few days.
The only thing I could come up with are these:
Nigella's choc chip cookies. They are delicious. And easy to make! And apparently the ultimate diet food. In spite of being half butter, half sugar, half chocolate. (Yes, I have a maths degree. Why do you ask?) They are so heavy, though, and HUGE. I have been scoffing these ever since I made them two days ago.
My second ever time baking and I stumble upon the holy grail of dieting.

oh must try that diet!
ReplyDeleteThey look GOOD!
ReplyDeletethose look insanely good. there's a chill in the air here that makes me want to get baking, i'll have to check out that recipe.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how heavy 74kg's is, so I'm still picturing you as incredibly thin. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome - I'm going to have to add these to my repertoire. And I'm clueless and lazy too - would have to google a conversion to find out your weight in pounds!
ReplyDeleteThese cookies may come back to bite you in the ass. But in the meantime- enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThose look simply amazing.
ReplyDelete@cartside - You really should.
ReplyDelete@Brit in Bosnia - You wouldn't believe how good.
@Creepy - You should. It's easy and scandalously delicious.
@erin - Great! Just don't go looking it up.
@Christy - Do! And don't!
@Ms. Moon - They're finished now. :-(
@Badass Geek - They are, they are. *sighs wistfully*
Hia Mwa, found you via the fab Maternal Tales.
ReplyDeleteLove your new diet. Nigella's cookies look seriously yum - or did you Photoshop those picis? I'm addicted (for real...I get cravings and everything!) to dark chocolate but figure that if it's 85% cocoa and the other ingredients include cocoa butter, vanilla and lecithin, then the sugar content must be negligible. Think that makes it practically a health food, right? (Can you tell I'm a trainee nutritionist? Um, no I thought not...)
uum chocolate heaven. thats my kind of diet!
ReplyDeleteWow those cookies look awesome! So glad you stumbled on this miracle diet food!
ReplyDeleteI try to stay away from Nigella. I'm convinced she is always trying to feed me...then my ass gets fatter....then I hate her. It's a nasty cycle.
ReplyDeleteReminds me that my sister used to say that she thought her second baby was going to be made entirely of chocolate fudge.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations...it's those baby steps that make you get to your destination. Way to go! Keep up with the hard work!
ReplyDeleteI want to eat cookies and gain weight in at least one or two places! But somehow I don't think that will work for me... and how cool is it that you get to weigh yourself in kgs., making all us slow american's consult a metric converter before we figure out how much you weigh (I didn't actually consult one, btw, 'cause any change that makes you feel better is a good one) ;-)
