And then this happens

Jack played quietly for more than an hour during naptime so I could sleep - first a 100 piece jigsaw, then making pictures with beads.

Marie, after dinner tonight: "I'm tired now. Daddy, will you please make my bottle and take me to bed?"

Thank you universe.

(And thank you all for reassuring me yesterday. I needed that so badly, and it helped like you have no idea.)

  2. I feel there's something symbolic about the 100 piece jigsaw. Being able to put so many pieces together to make a complete picture - a reflection of your abilities as a mother. Or something.

  3. Somehow, some way, the universe makes shifts and tiny adjustments and we are sustained.

  5. I, too, am very impressed that you have such nicely behaved childen. No one ever asks to be put to bed in my house unless they are flat out ill.
