... well, that's her told then.
(Shit. Babes just alerted me to the fact that that could be interpreted as really bitchy. I didn't mean she's not beautiful. Just that she's being told she's going to lose her beauty, unlike the watch. Nevermind. Not so funny with this explanation, I suppose.)

Maybe it's supposed to mean that she, too, will hold her beauty forever. Maybe. One would hope.
ReplyDeleteKisses to you and that baby.
@Ms. Moon - All I can think then is that the makers of this advert are not constantly remembering that death is fast approaching. Somehow that statement loses its power with me when I imagine worms crawling out of the eye sockets of her carcass. Or is that just me?
ReplyDeleteUm. What's the ad for? I'm assuming the beautiful thing is the adoring mother-child bond?
ReplyDeleteI've seen this advert before but it was a different picture.
ReplyDeleteI also thought the beautiful thing was the mother-daughter bond.
fbs.
@Jo - The clue is in the title. It's for a watch. I suppose I'm maliciously misinterpreting it. But I did think it was funny.
ReplyDeleteBesides - what about when they both have worms crawling out of their eyesockets? Okay, so I'm not really buying into this romantic notion.
@fatbrideslim - I suppose you're right. But I will still stubbornly stick to my awkward view. (My excuse is sleep deprivation.)
Well, I guess when you are wearing a watch at 10k+, you are rich enough to have the odd 'procedure' done that preserves your beauty...
ReplyDeleteI think it's funny, especially with your explanation!
ReplyDeleteBitchy by mistake is not really bitchy...it's the intention that counts right?
ReplyDeleteTelling me I'm bitchy is a good way to get a smack-down. Maybe I'm proving they're point?
ReplyDelete*their* point
ReplyDeleteuggh

ReplyDeleteI think it's funny too.
