So what do you think I did? Did I
- pay extra attention to my children? (I did, honest.)
- catch up on the washing? (A bit.)
- go out to see friends?
- catch up on my favourite blogs?
- finally tidy up the garden?
- unpack my hospital suitcase? (It has, after all, been more than a month since I was discharged.)
I put on a pair of jeans I can hardly close, donned some high-heeled boots I had trouble walking in, strapped a baby to my chest, and went out to a shopping mall to buy a new handbag and purse. Of course, I ended up with excruciatingly sore feet, a painful back and an upset stomach.
Oh yes! Vanity, thy name is Mwa.
But ain't they pretty?
You're my kind a girl...xx
ReplyDeleteOoo, nice work! Even a frazzled mother can still get her shop on. I love the blue!
ReplyDeleteExcellent choices! I do love a good purse.
ReplyDeleteWell of course why wouldn't you? Nice bag. Definitely worth all the pain and discomfort.
ReplyDeleteGo Girl! That is a lovely blue, smart purse too! Well done x
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day! Love the bag! Where did you get it from? :)
ReplyDeletefbs
Top choice! I also love the blue. Will a bottle and disposable nappy fit in it?
ReplyDeleteOooo so lovely. Love the blue bag. I shall do the same when the time has come. 9 hours!
ReplyDeletepretty and will totally hold diapers and a pack of wipes! smart girl :)
ReplyDeleteYou got into your jeans after only one month!!!
ReplyDeleteBag and purse - delish.
xxSandi
@Helena Halme - Welcome! And thank you.
ReplyDelete@Jo - It's the saving of this frazzled mother.
@Ms. Moon - I never knew the joy of having one - this is my first good purse.
@Victoria - It was!
@Kellogsville - :-)
@fbs - Got it from the handbag shop. Didn't realise until I'd picked them out they were both Esprit.
@Countess - They will! I fitted in everything I needed on Sunday for a trip to the fair.
@PantsWithNames - Ah yes. Handbags make everything better.
@geeks in rome - I have my moments.
@Sandi - Correction: I got into my one-down-from-fattest jeans after a month. I still have two more sizes to go before I "get into my jeans." Having dieted in the past, I have four sizes to choose from and am between the two biggest still. :-(
I suppose it gives me something to work towards.
Ooh I like it! I think you spent your time very wisely.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe. All my shortly after baby shopping trips were for baby things, or bigger goddamn nursing bras.
ReplyDeleteReally love your new blue bag. Good choices!
ReplyDeleteNo gain without pain. I think that's how the saying goes. Nice choices!
ReplyDeleteshopping - a sign you're back on top. Well done MWA!
