Some pictures while I wait for my inspiration to return from its world travels

  • Prettiest shopping list ever!

I doodled, then Marie wanted some homework while Jack was doing his, so she coloured in my doodles. Made me smile my way through the supermarket.

  • So close!

I served up the most nutricious meal, followed by strawberries for desert. Probably shouldn't have added the mounds of sugar then... Must do better next time.

(I realised I have never served "neat" strawberries at home - always with either cream or sugar. Oh how we are conditioned. The next five times they will get strawberries in all their natural glory - oh, alright, I'll wash them - until we have all be unconditioned.)

  • Ms. Moon penned another gem the other day. Just saying. And linking.

  1. The trouble is when you start. My guys like them neat, as long as they're nice ones.

  2. Love that you need purple milk :) We always need red milk and green milk, but now I want to know what the purple one is? Does it give you a flat stomach?! Is that the secret?
Love the 365 Muesli too, my fave. I feel very voyeuristic, now that I know your shopping list, AND your fridge. What are the batteries for?! hmmm, intriguing.
    And, love Marie's colouring.

  3. @Jo - I'd forgotten what I'd written (I think that may well be the trouble with my inspiration - plenty of good ideas every day, they just disappear into thin air after five minutes) and your comment seemed so cryptic! I have to admit my dirty mind got started making up many possible meanings...

@Rhi - Ah the purple milk is skimmed milk indeed. I keep hoping it will give me a flatter stomach. So far, no luck.
The 365 muesli is definitely for babes, as the cereally things in there (oats? - see, I don't even know what they are I am so not a health nut) make me gag and probably would make me vomit if I tried to eat a bowlful. But by all means enjoy yours. :-)
I don't know what the batteries are for - Babes added that part. I asked no questions, just got them for him.
I did wonder for a bit if I should put that list up, but then it's not as if it was my list for the chemist or anything and it didn't seem too bad. I just love the colours!

  5. Thanks for the link, Babycakes.
I used to make strawberry shortcakes for dinner sometimes when my kids were little. Big biscuit-like cakes with sliced strawberries and whipped cream. Sugar was involved.
They will remember that on their death beds. My kids, I mean.

  7. A nutritious meal deserves to be followed by a bit of indulgence.

  8. I don't believe I've had strawberries with sugar on the side since I was a kid. I've become so boring now, I rarely have sugar in the house.

  9. That is a beautiful shopping list for sure! Growing up I never had strawberries with anything on them-but Josh's mom always sprinkles a little on before she serves them. They're pretty delicious either way!
